Watercolour sky is something I often say to myself while looking up at the ever-changing Northern Irish skies above me. Subtle, beautiful colours blend into one another all year round.
I’m endlessly inspired by colours and details everywhere; wildflowers by a wall, autumn leaves, moody clouds before the rain, a winter sky, a tiny wren in a tree, berries in the garden, a vintage postcard. All these weave their way into my sketchbook and onto my stationery.
I create all my stationery in my cosy Belfast studio full of beautiful papers, art supplies, plants & music, wrapping & shipping orders worldwide. You can find me on Saturdays at St George’s Market in Belfast where I’ve been selling my stationery and meeting customers from all over the world since 2010.
Watercolour Sky grew out of ‘arbee stationery & design’ – after 12 years of creating wedding stationery for hundreds of couples worldwide, in 2020 I rediscovered my love of illustration during the pandemic. I’ve drawn and painted my way through the past few years, getting requests to draw portraits, houses, special places people missed.
In Summer 2022, after the busy, wonderful years of arbee, it felt like the perfect time to start afresh with ‘Watercolour Sky’, creating illustrated cards, stationery, prints and commissions, inspired by colour and nature.
Watercolour Sky is an environmentally responsible business, working with local & UK suppliers, using only sustainable source and recycled papers, non toxic inks and is plastic-free; stationery that doesn’t cost the earth.
